About Me

life of the traveling pin standing in front of windmills in amsterdam

where It All Began

It all started in Florence, Tuscany, during my study abroad adventure. Picture cobbled streets, dodging Vespas, and indulging in pasta as big as my dreams.

That’s where the solo travel bug bit me, and it never let go!

Back home in college, weekends were for exploring hidden gems across Florida and the southern US. My passion for discovering new places grew stronger with every road trip, leading me to launch The Traveling Pin – a love letter to solo travel for women who crave a touch of elegance on their adventures.

My Adventures

Forget hostels and basic itineraries! My travels are all about:

  • Boutique hotels tucked in secret corners
  • Champagne sunsets overlooking breathtaking vistas
  • Unforgettable adventures (and the occasional clumsy face-plant – hey, I’m human too!)

I hope my stories inspire your own adventures and brighten your day!

I have 3 tattoos.

  • A lightning bolt on my wrist

  • A mountain range on my rib cage

#3

Currently, I hold a full time job as an energy meteorologist, which has been my dream job since I could talk.

#4

Before this summer, I never had any major fears, but now I have figured out I’m scared of smaller boats… I kept thinking every wave crashing into us was going to tip us over and cause me to be lost in the ocean
