life of the traveling pin in italy 2016

And so, the "Adventurous Pin" was born. This blog is my love letter to solo travel, a curated compass for women like me who crave adventure with a touch of sophistication. Forget hostels and backpacking – we're talking boutique havens in hidden corners, champagne sunsets overlooking breathtaking vistas, and adventures that'll leave you breathless (and maybe with a few hilarious face-plants – hey, I am clumsy leave me be!).

I hope my content and words brighten your day or your travels!

where did it all start?

Study abroad in Florence, that magical city of Tuscany, ignited a fire in my soul. Exploring cobbled streets, dodging Vespas with a camera in hand, and devouring plates of pasta the size of my apartment back home – that's where my solo-travel bug bit hard. And boy, did it itch!

Back in college, the loud football games replaced the busy cobblestone street, but the wanderlust didn't fade. Weekends became escapes to hidden places, seeing new places around Florida and the southern US, and spontaneous road trips fueled by adrenaline and wanderlust. Soon, the weather charts I analyzed at work started reflecting not just rain clouds, but far-off destinations calling my name.

fun facts!

#1: French fries are my love language... I could literally eat them for every meal of my life

#2: I have 3 tattoos... a lightning bolt on my right wrist, airplane outline on my left arm, and mountain range on my rib cage.

#3: Currently, I hold a full time job as an energy meteorologist, which has been my dream job since I could talk.

#4: Before this summer, I never had any major fears, but now I have figured out I'm scared of smaller boats... I kept thinking every wave crashing into us was going to tip the boat

what to expect

from me

From trekking through ancient ruins to mastering the art of navigating foreign subways (and surviving on questionable translations), I'll share my wins (and epic fails) with humor and honesty. Think of me as your seasoned travel bestie, spilling the tea on the best boutique hotels, off-the-beaten-path gems, and how to navigate solo travel with the confidence of a seasoned explorer (even if you get turned around in Pisa every once in a while).

This blog isn't just about ticking destinations off a list. It's about embracing the unexpected, pushing your boundaries, and discovering the world in a way that feels authentically you. So grab your metaphorical hiking boots, ladies, and let's create solo travel magic – no map needed, just follow your heart and the adventurous pin!

Let's create unforgettable memories, one solo trip at a time!
